Preview: Sea No Evil 2011

Time flies!  The annual Sea No Evil benefit auction ($10 donation required at the door) is fast approaching – in fact, it’s this Saturday, June 25th. Preview: Sea No Evil 2010

Another year has passed since the last Sea No Evil (covered) and the time has come to get together for another charity show to benefit the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society. Openings: Ana Bagayan – “Flutter” @ Mondo Bizzarro Gallery, Rome

Currently showing at Mondo Bizzarro Gallery in Rome is “Flutter”, Ana Bagayan’s first overseas solo show. Containing a delectable selection of Ana’s paintings, the California resident artist was in attendance at the recent opening, from which we have some pictures courtesy of the gallery. Interviews / Preview: Ana Bagayan – “Flutter” @ Mondo Bizzarro Gallery

Ana Bagayan should need no introduction to regular readers of AM, her stunning portraiture and contemporary figurative work being a regular feature here as her work continues to evolve with each and every new show. Entitled “Flutter”, Ana’s latest solo exhibition and her first body of work to be shown overseas, opens this weekend on Saturday 8th May at Rome’s Mondo Bizzaro Gallery. We caught up with Ana ahead of the opening. Read on for our interview and some further preview images after the jump.

Teaser: Ana Bagayan “Flutter” @ Mondo Bizzarro Gallery

Following on from her recent showing with Roq La Rue Gallery in Seattle last year (covered), the talented Ana Bagayan’s next exhibition, “Flutter” opens on Saturday, May 8th at Mondo Bizzarro Gallery in Rome. This will be Ana’s first overseas showing, and promises a captivating series of oil paintings and drawings. The painting pictured above is the title piece for the show. Take a look at a couple of close up views and breathe in the beautiful detail after the jump.
