Preview: Death of Vivisect @ Gallery 1988 (LA)

“Vivisect VI” or the “Death of Vivisect” is set to open tomorrow at Gallery 1988 (LA).  One of the first annual group shows at g1988, the Luke Chueh (interviewed) co-curated exhibition focuses on artists who employ animals in their work to convey the human condition. Preview: Gaia – “Re-up” @ Gallery 1988SF

NYC street artist Gaia, along with Angry Woebots, Deseo, Dia, Scribe and Mr. Jago will be featured in “Re-up”, a new group show opening tonight at Gallery 1988SF.  Gaia was kind enough to send us some process pictures of the woodblock and screenprints that he’ll be exhibiting. “Rhetorics of Peace” (featured above) is one of four animal prints that consist of Gaia’s contribution. Preview: Vivisect Playset V @ Gallery 1988 SF

The fifth installment of Vivisect Playset is opening up this Friday, December 5th at Gallery 1988 SF (7-10 pm).
