With bigger scale works being displayed along with painted frames on the walls of the space, smaller pieces being presented in a form […]

On top of doing the large scale mural that sits on Beverly Blvd., he also painted inside the offices of theAudience. Creating this piece took no more than 20 minutes and as expected, Lister showed he can put on a show with his unique style, which at times gave the […]
Australian artist Anthony Lister recently arrived in Los Angeles to paint a new large scale mural at the offices of the theAudience. Continuing to use the thematic imagery tied in with the ballerina, Lister created a mural that not only shows off his signature style, but one that also shows he can move effortlessly between the confines of a studio and the open spaces of city streets. After seeding the streets of London and Newcastle with his public art, it was time for his simultaneous openings at The Outsiders locations in both cities. The new paintings and sculptures by the artist from down under were collectively entitled Unslung Heroes and were mainly loose portraits of after-party revelers, certainly something that Lister has seen plenty of with his high octane lifestyle. Take a look at some shots of the artist and the work from the London showspace below… Photo credit: Ian Cox / Wallkandy. Discuss these shows here. Discuss Anthony Lister here.
