Releases: Gary Baseman x Coach Hand Painted Jackets & Totes

Since we first reported (in 2014) on Gary Baseman (interviewed) and his work with Coach, the American luxury fashion company has certainly further expanded their collaboration with the Los Angeles-based artist. One of the more recent spinoffs are a set of 10 unique hand-painted jackets & totes that have become available. These wearable art pieces were created to celebrate Baseman’s new Collaboration Collection with Stuart Vevers, the Creative Director of Coach. Discuss Gary Baseman here.

Releases: Futura x Converse Chuck Taylor All Star II collection

Starting next month, the Futura Chuck Taylor All Star II collection from Converse will be releasing at specialty retailers, Converse stores and online at Converse.com. This project with the NY graffiti legend will be the first artist collaboration with the redesigned Chuck Taylor All Star from the American shoe company. As you can see, the Brooklyn-based artist’s signature aesthetic can be seen featured on the sneaker (hi-top and the ox), apparel and accessories collection. Via Highsnobiety. Discuss Futura here.

Takashi Murakami x Vans Vault Showcase @ Hotel Du Grand Veneur

Over the weekend Hotel Du Grand Veneur in Paris hosted a collaborative showcase between Takashi Murakami and Vans. Coinciding with this season’s Paris Fashion Week, the launch event featured shoes (adult and child), skate decks, surf boards, tees, and related artwork. as well as a roundtable conversation with the esteemed Japanese artist. Releases: Jeremy Geddes – “Ascent” Hoodie

Daylight Curfew has just announced the release of their collaboration with Jeremy Geddes (interviewed) for their DLC Black Label line. Entitled Ascent, the same name as one of the Australian painter’s iconic images (also released as a print), the new hoodie will be limited to 100 pieces and feature their own embroidered edition numbers. Releases: Shok-1 – “The Consumer” Shirt

Those who follows Shok-1 and his distinctive work on the streets are no doubt familiar with his x-ray spray technique. One of the London-based artist’s most well received murals comes from last year when he merged his aesthetic with pop culture and painted a Pac-Man as it would look if it had bones. Releases: Takashi Murakami x Vans Collaboration

On June 27th, Takashi Murakami will be releasing a collaboration he has been working on with Vans. Utilizing his iconic imagery, the set will include six pairs of Vans Classic Slip-Ons, four skate decks, three tees, and three pairs of slip-ons for your little art collectors out there. Releases: Kenny Scharf x The Hundreds

The Hundreds recently unveiled their collaboration with Kenny Scharf (interviewed) on a new line of apparel. Taking the legendary New York street artist’s Hanna Barbera inspired cartoon imagery, deployed in a repeating camouflage pattern, the new collection is a camping-inspired series which includes a poncho that converts into a tent. For fans of the American cult director Harmony Korine’s movie Spring Breakers, you may be interested to know that Opening Ceremony has released collection of apparel based on the new film. D*Face (interviewed) sent us these great pictures taken on a warm and sunny day in London last week by photographer Viktor Vauthier.
