On Saturday, May 23rd, Thinkspace will be opening a solo show from Ariel DeAndrea entitled Chasing the Current. Her subject matter of choice for her oil paintings are paper cranes floating in bodies of water, referenced from photos she takes herself and derived from her origami skills (you can get a good idea of her process in the video below). Last night, POW! WOW! Hawaii kicked things off with a group show curated by Thinkspace at the Honolulu Museum Of Art School (111 Victoria Street). Entitled Exploring The New Contemporary Movement, the exhibition featured an impressive and diverse roster or artists, each contributing a 12 x 12″ piece.
