Recap: Art Basel ’15 (Part II)

Last week, AM visited Basel Week Switzerland, with the highlight being the main fair – Art Basel. Basel Week Switzerland ’15: VOLTA

After bringing you a look at SCOPE Basel, we now turn our attention to the VOLTA. Moving back to the center of the city at the venue Markthalle, their 11th year at Basel Week Switzerland sees the art fair continuing to focus on mainly solo exhibitions from artists at their gallery booths like Mark Stone for The Hole Gallery (seen above). With the art world focused in on the festivities in Switzerland, we start our coverage of Art Basel Week with a feature on SCOPE. Celebrating nine years in Basel, the fair returns to its pioneering location at Basel’s New Art District on the Rhine.
