Audrey Kawasaki x Hint Mint Party

Recently, the art-loving Hint Mint company threw a private party at their headquarters to celebrate the release of a set of designs by Audrey Kawasaki (interviewed). Aside from checking out the original paintings that served as the imagery for the new series, other perks available to those in attendance. Each design was reproduced as a print on metal, which could be purchased, and also special five-pack cases were offered. Check out more photos of the festivities below… Discuss Audrey Kawasaki here.

Openings: ESPO’s Creative Outlet

Last weekend, Steve Powers held an opening event for ESPO’s Creative Outlet, his new store located in downtown Brooklyn. The shop features a wide selection of Powers’ artwork and ephemera, from books and catalogs to prints and paintings on metal. In addition, for the opening, Powers went way back into his archive to offer ESPO brand products from the Street Market era. Last month, we shared with you the collaboration between James Jean (featured) and the BLITZ Lane Crawford Hong Kong. Remember the mural we mentioned in our Overtime article a couple weeks ago that RETNA (featured) painted for Louis Vuitton? Footage has now been released of the MSK-affiliated writer working on facade of the LV Miami Design District store, covering it with his signature urban calligraphy. Like his the release parties on Melrose, in Los Angeles, and in New York, graffiti legend Futura’s fans in Paris came out in droves to get a glimpse of the man of the hour as well as their hands on his limited edition collaboration with Hennessy. It looks like James Jean (featured) is back in Hong Kong where he will be launching his OVM line of jewellery and accessories in store at BLITZ Lane Crawford. Releases: Snoopy Ceramic (KAWS Version)

Tomorrow at noon (Octeber 22nd Eastern time), KAWS will be releasing something for his fans out there to celebrate Halloween. Reprising his collaboration with the popular Snoopy (see 2011), the ceramic jar will be available for approximately $132 on Kawsone. Also, for all those KAWS heads out there, remember the street turned contemporary artist will be participating in another holiday next month in this year’s Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade with a 40-foot-long balloon of his companion character.
