Releases: Ron English – “Super Size Me” (Halloween Edition)

Ron English (featured) and Secret Base have a special treat for your Halloween celebrations. They have teamed up to to produce a limited edition “Super Size Me” figure from English, but this time, a Halloween skeletal edition.  The figure comes in two colors and will be available from Armth. Releases: Jim Houser – “Make Room for the Emptiness”

Today, at 11am Eastern, The BLDG will be releasing a new 6-color hand-pulled screenprint by Jim Houser. The print, created for his show “Make Room for the Emptiness” at the Jonathan LeVine Gallery (covered) is 11″ x 14″  in an edition of 200. Get it for the very reasonable price of $75 here. Releases: D*Face – “UnAmerican Graffiti”

Immediately following the Green Day “Art of Rock” show (covered) at StolenSpace, UK artist and gallerist D*Face (interviewed) has come back stateside to pay a visit to the master printers over at Modern Multiples in Los Angeles. “UnAmerican Graffiti,” which you may remember from his “Ludovico Aversion Therapy” (covered) show at Jonathan LeVine last month, is currently being made into an impressive 21 color screen print. Openings: Joe Ledbetter – “Birds & Bees” @ Artoyz (Paris)

After moving from London to Amsterdam, Joe Ledbetter hit up Paris for the third leg of his European Amalgamation Tour (details here). This time, with a show at Artoyz entitled “Birds and Bees,” Joe once again brought a new body of work including paintings, sketches, prints and a special colorway of his Terror and Magnus toys. Video: Robert Williams x Vans Vault Project

Releases: Slinkachu – “The High Life”

The last time we saw Slinkachu, he was busy in a Grottaglie alleyway creating his largest work yet for the FAME Festival (covered).  Well, looks like the photographer/street artist is back with a new release which he also created in Italy, this time the installation “was placed near the local fly-tipping area and dog pound – the high life indeed!”  This latest print is available in either small or large formats, through Studiocromie and Andipa Gallery respectively. Releases: Jeff Soto – “The Three Friends” and “Nature’s Splendor”

Next Monday, Oct. 26th will be a good day for Jeff Soto fans as the Inland Empire artist will be releasing a total of four new giclee prints through his online store, Potato Stamp.  The first three, appropriately entitled “The Three Friends”, come as a set and recreate three of the watercolor pieces he showed RVCA’s “Whammy!” show (covered).  The set will sell for $120 with all three prints measuring in at 10″ X 10,” edition of 100. Elbow-Toe (interviewed), whose recent work we featured recently, has opened up a webstore on Etsy. So far, he’s put up some hand-pulled silkscreens up for sale for a very reasonable $30 each (edition of 30). If you are thinking of buying some, hurry, as they are selling fast. Releases: kozyndan – “Spring in Nakano” for Giant Robot Biennale 2 @ Japanese American National Museum

Famous for their panoramics, kozyndan created one just for the Giant Robot Biennalle (teased) opening next weekend at the Japanese American National Museum (JANM).  Entitled “Nakano in Spring,” the piece will be released as a print (limited to 1200) sized approximately at 39″ x 8,” each is signed and numbered.  Take a look at this nice 360 degree QuickTimeVR that they created of the image. Openings: Joe Ledbetter – “Shock and Awe” @ London Miles Gallery

Joe Ledbetter kicked off his “Amalgamation Tour” last week at the London Miles Gallery.  During this five city European event, Joe will be showing at five different galleries in London, Amsterdam, Paris, Rome, and Istanbul (details here).  For his UK fans, he brought a mostly new body of work which encompassed paintings, drawings, prints, and various art products – including the release of the European variant of his new Terror and Magnus toy.
