Releases: Yoshitomo Nara – “123 Drumming Girls”

On October 17th, How2work will be releasing a new set of figures from Yoshitomo Nara at a one day pop-up shop at the Landmark Atrium in Hong Kong. Releases: KAWS – “GONE” Figures

Later today (Sept 24th), 12 noon Eastern Time to be exact, KAWS will be releasing his latest vinyl collectible on his website. Modeled after a monumental new bronze sculpture recently revealed at his museum show at the National Gallery of Victoria, GONE will be offered in three different color ways. The sculpt first created for his show last year in New York (covered) features the Brooklyn-based artist’s famous Companion figure holding one of his BFF characters in a way that harkens back to Michelangelo’s Pietà. Releases: Hikari Shimoda – “Lonely Hero and Obake” Figures

In a few hours, Hikari Shimoda will be releasing her latest collaboration with APPortfolio – the Lonely Hero and Obake figures. Both versions Polaroid (full-color, run of 300, $488) and Birch (wood, run of 118, $1360) have been made available already at the Shanghai Toy Show with an online release slated for Apportfolio’s website on April 15th, 10:00pm GMT. Even casual fans of KAWS knew a pink version of the BFF plush was coming at some point judging from its prominence int the Dior campaigns. Well, that time is almost upon us with the release set for tomorrow (4/10/19) at noon (EST) on the Brooklyn-based artist’s website – KAWSONE. Those who miss out can try their luck with the DDT store. We first noticed the works of Lu Pingyuan at this year’s Art Basel HK (covered), where he successfully introduced his Look! I’m Picasso! body of work. Half a year later, the Chinese artist has created a limited edition figure of one of the characters from the series, which will be available soon. Releases: Phil Frost – 100%, 400%, 1000% Be@rbricks

Currently on preorder, a set of Be@rbricks from Phil Frost are available at various online art purveyors. Produced by Medicom, the distinctive form is available in the 100%, 400%, 1000% sized and features the signature imagery of the famed artist from the early NY graffiti scene. Measuring 2.5″, 8″, and 28.5″ respectively, the figures will ship late 2018, early 2019 for those interested. Discuss Phil Frost here.

This morning, KAWS announced the surprise release of a PINNOCHIO wood sculptural edition on his IG. Produced in a run of 100, this signed and numbered iteration of the famous puppet, remixed with the Brooklyn-based signature aesthetic, is a wood version of his previously released vinyl figure.
