Releases: Audrey Kawasaki – “Ponderer” Print

Tomorrow, July 29th at 10 AM PST, Audrey Kawasaki (interviewed) will be releasing a new print through Thinkspace Gallery. Entitled Ponderer, the image is taken from a painting shown with the gallery during her mini solo at SCOPE Miami last year (covered). Produced in a run of 250, the hand signed and numbered edition will be sized at 17 x 28 inches and cost $250 each. It will be a little over three years when Audrey Kawasaki (interviewed) returns to the Merry Karnowsky Gallery, the site of her show in Los Angeles in 2011 (covered). Judging from these in progress shots, the new body of work will continue her series of exquisite female portraits on wood, letting the surface speak to her as she incorporates the grains and textures. This Saturday (March 15),  Audrey Kawasaki (interviewed) will be releasing her next time limited edition. Entitled Maybe Tomorrow and based off a painting she exhibited during SCOPE Miami, the print will be available from 12 am (midnight) Pacific time and ends after 24 hours with the edition size determined by the amount of orders. Basel Week Miami ’13: Audrey Kawasaki for Thinkspace @ SCOPE

Just like earlier last year for SCOPE during Basel Week Switzerland (covered), the Thinkspace Gallery booth in Miami was also featured a mini-solo show from Audrey Kawasaki (interviewed). Included in the new body of work were her familiar exquisite portraiture of seductively innocent girls, with her technique taking advantage of the wood grain in each piece. Releases: Audrey Kawasaki – “Offering” Print

In a couple hours, 9AM PDT to be exact, Audrey Kawasaki (interviewed) will start releasing her new print “Offering” on the Thinkspace online store. It measures 18 x 18″, is signed and numbered, and will come in an edition of 400 for $235. For those that miss out on the 200 that will be available today, next week on Saturday, October 12th at 12pm PDT, the rest will be available on the Audrey Kawasaki Shop (with a framing option as well).
