Following the success of the 2014 exhibition Futurismo Ancestral: An Offering to Peru by Sixe Paredes (covered), the collaborative arts organization Approved by Pablo curated a new exhibition entitled Mapping The City in London, running until 15 February. Over 50 internationally recognized artists from the street art and graffiti scene including took over the New Wing of Somerset House to share their knowledge of each city’s secrets and urban landscape through a variety of media from illustrations, paintings, sculptures, installations and videos. Last Saturday night, Soze Gallery in Los Angeles opened a group exhibition that highlighted the form of the Modernica chair, seen through the lens of each participant’s artistic vision. Friends and artists who show with the gallery, created custom one of a kind versions of the chair with their signature styles and techniques with part of the proceeds going to benefit The Art Of Elysium, a non-profit organization that brings empowering artistic programs to children in the local hospitals in the area. This Saturday, the 1st of November, LA’s Soze Gallery will be opening a group exhibition in collaboration with the Modernica furniture company. The company that keeps the spirit of Modernism movement alive with their products, teamed up with the West Hollywood showspace for an unique charity event. For this show, artists will create custom painted fiberglass shell chairs, made on the original Herman Miller equipment.
