Streets: Ericailcane & Bastardilla (Italy)

Recently in Rovereto, a city in Northern Italy, Ericailcane and Bastardilla painted two walls that both featured their artistic takes on bicycling. Working in his home county, Ericailcane created a mural with his signature illustrative style starring a bear with an alternative mode of transportation strapped to its back while the invited guest from Colombia, Bastardilla, painted a pair of riders seen from a different perspective. It’s been a while since we had a streets round up here on AM so we have some catching up to do. Leading off things for recent street activity around the world is this new mural (photo via SAN) from Conor Harrington (interviewed) in Rochester, New York. The wall was painted for the ongoing WALL\THERAPY festival and features the UK-based painters signature mix of colonialism, abstraction, and photorealism. AM was pleased to see a visit this week from NY based artist Olek (featured), we don’t often get to see a crocheted cab on the streets of London! Great fun and very impressive.
