Beyond Eden ‘10: Shark Toof – Installation @ LeBasse Projects

Shark Toof debuted his first ever solo show with Culver City’s LeBasse Projects at Beyond Eden this past weekend. The prolific street artist mounted a visual assault utilizing his array of signature imagery, including sharks, cigarette boxes, comics and monsters. Using materials such as wood, spray cans, boxes, found materials and books, the artist filled nearly the entire space with art work. We at AM have been following Bumblebee’s work for a long time now and are now happy to provide coverage of his first ever solo exhibition. The buzzing and buzzed-about artist treated the Beyond Eden crowd to imagery of bees, children, environmental awareness and the joys of childhood, in an installation and collection of works that included sculpture and paintings. This weekend, the second annual Beyond Eden Art Fair will open at the LA Municipal Art Gallery at Barnsdall Park with offerings from Thinkspace, Copro Gallery, La Laz De Jesus Gallery, LeBasse Projects, C.A.V.E.
