Following the theme of this year’s Expo15 in Milan, which is “Feeding the Planet, Energy for Life,” Wunderkammern Gallery organized a collateral art project titled Chained. The idea behind this group exhibition is to investigate the dynamics between humans and nature through the works of art contributed by artists in this show. Streets: Surface Project (Copenhagen)

The 5th show on Søren Solkær‘s Surface world tour opened on June 12th at Øksnehallen in central Copenhagen. The exhibition itself features 122 portraits of some of world’s most famous street artists, who were all featured in his recent book Surface (covered). To celebrate this big event, the Danish photographer invited six international and esteemed artists to create large-scale murals in the streets of Copenhagen. Gonzalo Borondo’s Animal recently opened on the 5th of February at London’s Newcastle Project Space in Shoreditch, and is now in its final week. Closing on the 26th of February, this elaborate show presented by Rex Romae is a worthy visit for all the street and urban art fans. We recently visited the studio of prolific Spanish artist Gonzalo Borondo ahead of his upcoming solo exhibition entitled Animal. Curated by Rom Levy, founder of RexRomae, and Charlotte Dutoit of Justkids, the show will be set up at the Londonewcastle Project Space in Shoreditch. Last week, the Nuart Festival in Norway continued its long run of excellence with the 2014 lineup of street artists in town for indoor and outdoor works. A review of recent public works for our Streets World Roundup sees this new mural (seen above) from Shok-1 as one of the standouts. Entitled The Consumer, the new piece makes a clever modification in the Pac-Man imagery that we are used to and again highlights the sublime translucent x-ray spraycan technique from the London-based artist.
