Basel Week Miami ’13: Brian Viveros & Dan Quintana – “Desensitized13” @ Copro Gallery (SCOPE)

Like in 2010, painters Brian Viveros (featured) & Dan Quintana will be teaming up for a joint exhibition with Copro Gallery with the first showing during Art Basel Week in Miami. Both artists’ portraits of sexy women mixed with surreal elements will be on display at the SCOPE Art Fair from December 4-8 and then move on to Los Angeles to the gallery’s showspace at the Bergamot Station for an opening on December 14th (which will include more originals and limited edition releases). Releases: Brian Viveros – “Punch Drunk In Love” Prints

Next Monday (September 16th), Brian Viveros (featured) will be releasing a new print Punch Drunk In Love in two different editions. The first will be a hand-embellished framed version included with a float mounted “Evilast” embroidered patch (and one loose for you to use yourself). This will come in a run of 40 and cost your $600, and will be available online at Thinkspace’s webstore at 9 AM PST. This Friday night (November 16th) in Hong Kong, the Above Second Gallery will be opening their LAX / HKG group exhibition (curated by Thinkspace). Featuring a strong lineup of Amy Sol (above), Audrey Kawasaki, Brian M. Viveros, Dabs Myla, Esao Andrews, Joao Ruas, Linnea Strid, and Yosuke Ueno, the showing will sure to be well received by local fans. Last Friday, Exhibit A opened up its gallery doors to a multitude of artists all paying tribute to the legendary heavy metal band Metallica.
