This weekend, Berlin based artist Clemens Behr opens his first US solo exhibition at Mirus Gallery. Variety of (N)one will feature Behr’s trademark installation-based artworks following a month’s residency with the San Francisco space and will extensively feature materials gathered by the artist from the recent remodelling of the building which houses the gallery. Streets: Clemns Behr for ALT!rove (Catanzaro, Italy)

Kicking off the second edition of the ALT!rove street art festival this year (from 30th April to 9th May) is Clemens Behr with an impressive new mural. This year’s theme is “Abstractism – space>place” and will also feature work from 108, Alberonero, Giorgio Bartocci, Ciredz, Erosie, Graphic Surgery, Sbagliato, Sten Lex and Tellas. In addition to painting walls in Catanzaro, Italy, each artist will participate in a group show at Casa ALT!rove along with others like 2501, Martina Merlini, Moneyless, and Domenico Romeo. Berlin-based Clemens Behr opens a solo exhibition this week at Amsterdam’s Mini Galerie entitled Small Works. True to the name of the show, this is a rare chance to get up close and personal to Behr’s typically installation-heavy, and much larger scale works. Berlin’s BC Gallery is opening a new season with an interesting group exhibition simply titled Abstract that opened September 26th. Featuring works by nine international artists, this show puts a focus on non-figurative artworks along with its possibilities and advantages. Experimenting with geometrical forms, materials, mediums and colors, often juxtaposing black and white, featured artists show their take on abstraction. Several days ago, a new art editions online shop, Draw A Line, was launched from Berlin. The main goal of this project is to create and sell limited art edition prints in collaboration with international artists, but also, telling a story about the artists and their work. Berlin’s Circle Culture Gallery recently opened their third gallery space, in addition to its other two venues in Berlin (Mitte and Hamburg).
