Upcoming: Todd “REAS” James – “Free To be You & Me” @ V1 Gallery

Opening Friday night (October 5th) in Copenhagen at the V1 Gallery, Free To be You & Me is the newest solo show from Todd James. The imagery in this new body work continues to be dominated by his colorful chain-smoking pirate characters, brandishing weapons and causing mischief. Openings: Evan Hecox & Ed Templeton – “Known Associates” & “Litmus Test” @ V1 Gallery

After bringing you a look at the new work from  Thomas Campbell in Copenhagen, we now turn our attention to two of his other friends who were showing alongside him – Evan Hecox & Ed Templeton. The two other artists also opened solo shows entitled Known Associates & Litmus Test respectively at the V1 Gallery featuring Hecox’s urban environments pieces (seen above) and the skate subculture photography of Templeton. Streets: Tanker Mural Collaboration (Copenhagen)

Artists Simon Hjermind Jensen, Theis Wendt, Anders Schmidt and Silas Inoue recently completed a pretty sweet collaboration mural in Odinsgade, Copenhagen featuring a giant tanker. Utilizing architectural elements like the chimney as well as existing graffiti, the grounded ship is a striking addition to the capital of Denmark. A couple weeks ago, AM dropped by MOHS Exhibit in Copenhagen to take a look at a new collection of work from Armsrock (interviewed) for his latest show. Showing: Dave White – “Americana” @ Galleri Jules Julian

It looks like Dave White, who showed in Art Copenhagen last year (covered), decided to give his fans in Denmark a proper gallery show. The new body of work for Americana currently on at Galleri Jules Julian explores some of the iconography particular to the US, mainly cowboys and Indians, all painted in the loose style White has been using recently.
