Breeze Block Gallery opened their huge group show Wider than a postcard (previewed) alongside the first solo show in their new gallery 2 space – olive47’s bonita bonita (featured) a couple of weeks back to a packed Portland crowd. Over 400 individual works went into the postcard show with 200 artists providing postcard sized works. Openings: Corey Arnold – “Wolf Tide” @ Richard Heller Gallery

A couple weeks ago, the Richard Heller Gallery in Santa Monica hosted the opening for Corey Arnold’s Wolf Tide. The vibrant new work by the Portland-based photographer are a series of shots taken during his experience working as a commercial fisherman in Alaska. His travels have taken him to the Bering Sea, Europe, South Africa, the Atlantic, and the Arctic. and his subjects include humans, eagles, gulls, deer, vast seascapes and surreal landscapes. Preview: Corey Arnold – “Fish-Work” @ Fecal Face Dot Gallery

Opening tonight at Fecal Face Dot Gallery in San Francisco is Fish-Work, a showing of images from photographer and fisherman Corey Arnold.
