Joshua Liner Gallery has an impressive trio of artist on tap for the inaugural PULSE Los Angeles. Rising to prominence in Miami and New York, the event has become a mainstay on the contemporary fair circuit, known for it’s cutting-edge curating. We all hit bumps in the road, but with a little help we can all overcome any obstacles. As mentioned previously, a good friend of AM and assistant director of Joshua Liner Gallery, Tim Strazza, was unfortunately diagnosed with a Multiple Sclerosis. We helped sponsor a fundraiser created by the gallery to generate funds that went to support Tim and his medical bills. This Thursday, a very special art fundraiser will be held at Joshua Liner Gallery for our friend Tim Strazza who was unfortunately diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. We are helping to sponsor a benefit event where all proceeds will go to his medical bills. Jeremy Fish (featured), who just had a solo show in New York (covered), was also recently one of the artists involved with the Abolut Blank project. The vodka brand from Sweden has long been associated with artist collaborations, some of which we have feature before (Asbestos, Steve “ESPO” Powers, Chiho Aoshima) here on AM. According to our friend Amanda Erlanson, the long awaited HEROES & VILLAINS book has finally been released. In it, photographers Tatiana Wills and Roman Cho take snapshots of many of the artists we follow here on AM. Not only are the resulting portraits technically sound, the duo were able to capture the essence of each artist – for example, Shawn Barber (featured) and his tattoos, Tiffany Bozic and her bird, or SHAG (interviewed) in a modern retro setting. Currently showing in Morocco at the David Bloch Gallery is their summer group show, apparently part 3 of their Hall of Fame series. Of interest, among a group of international artists, is the inclusion of some artists we follow like Dave Kinsey, Augustine Kofie, and Remed. It’s that time of the year again. Haunch of Venison will again play host to the heavy hitting benefit by HiArt! (last year). This year’s event, entitled Changing the World Through Art, is going to be another chance for art fans to catch some of their favorite artists through the silent auction. On Thursday night, AM attended the much anticipated opening of Dave Kinsey’s solo exhibition at Joshua Liner Gallery. Dave Kinsey will be making his return to New York City next month with a new body of works at the Joshua Liner Gallery.
