After sharing some photos of Sam3’s pieces for the Public Art project in Horsens, Denmark, we now have some shots of another participant, Brad Downey. As opposed to the typical street artist, Downey’s work is more conceptual in nature and often takes advantage of existing urban elements that he exploits in which he sees natural irony or subtle metaphors. After hitting up the Mediterranean coastline with some inventive murals, Spanish artist Sam3 headed to Denmark to participate in a new event. Located in the old Danish city of Horsens, the project Public Art saw the silhouette master get up twice at the port and once in the center of the town. We haven’t heard much from Armsrock (interviewed) since his light-infused showing in Vienna earlier this year. There’s a good reason for that as the Danish street artist has been focused on building an important new body of work for his show at the Vejle Museum of Art in his native country. The large soulful paintings appear to be some of his best to date and we look forward to seeing the full results of his hard work come the September 3rd opening of The Impossible Society. […]

Berlin-based American artist, Brad Downey, has been keeping himself rather busy lately. His first show in the Middle East, We Are Beginning: Personal Projects in Public Spaces, opened this week at Cuadro Fine Art Gallery in Dubai. In addition, Downey’s work features in the group show What Is Contemporary Art? which opened Friday at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Roskilde, Denmark.
