Openings: Larry Gagosian x Jeffrey Deitch – “DESIRE” @ Moore Building

On November 29th, art dealers Larry Gagosian and Jeffrey Deitch opened their second collaborative group exhibition for Basel Week Miami. After successful Unrealism show in 2015 (covered), this year’s edition titled Desire, attracted the creme de la creme of the world collectors with its impressive selection of works. Upcoming: Eddie Peake – “Head” @ Deitch Projects

On September 8th, Jeffrey Deitch will be re-opening his Wooster Street gallery with three nights of performances from Eddie Peake. By reputation, attendees to the RSVP only ([email protected]) events will be seeing the human body on display with live music and original compositions. Inspired by after seeing ENDYMION, the London-born artist’s performance for Performa 13, Deitch decided to inaugurate his return to the NY art scene with Peake’s explorations of voyeurism, sexuality and gender. Rewind: Jul 21 – Aug 3

This edition’s highlighted video (via Colossal) comes from Icheon Ceramics Village in Gyeonggi Province, South Korea, home to over 300 ceramics studios. The American Museum of Ceramic Art visited five of the artists (like Kim Seong-Tae seen above) last year to profile their work with some beautiful footage.
