One of the first things we did yesterday when we arrived in Miami was attend the Emmanuel Perrotin party and opening reception at their gallery space. The event centered around Daniel Arsham’s sixth solo exhibition, Alter, with three new body of works – Objects from Antiquity, Push Puppets and Pixel Clouds. Other works from the gallery’s impressive roster of artists surrounded the AM crew as well as we enjoyed some art gazing, dinner, and mingling with other like-minded attendees to kick off our Art Basel […]
Last night, the first members of the AM crew flew into Miami for our coverage for Art Basel Week and what greeted us was the opening bash at Emmanuel Perrotin. The night’s exclusive events included cocktails, a fabulously catered dinner, an outdoor dance floor where the guests got down for the festivities. Of course the art was the draw as the gallery space opened a new series of shows including the unveiling of the new “tank chairs” from Pharrell Williams, as well as solo shows from Matthew Day Jackson and […]
Vernissage TV caught up with Pharrell Williams and interviewed him about the collaboration piece he did with Takashi Murakami and Jacob the Jeweler at Art Basel (Switzerland). Discuss Murakami here.

Check this amazing collaboration between Takashi Murakami, Pharrell Williams and Jacob & Co – a mind blowing sculpture entitled “The Simple Things.” Think Superflat meets hip hop and Metroid. The sculpture is based on Murakami’s signature “DOB” character and features an onyx fiberglass husk with a pearlescent glow to compliment the vibrant rainbow colors which […]
The ARMORY Art Show as it’s name implies, was literally a stockpile of the art world’s heavy artillery. With works from Damien Hirst, Yoshitomo Nara, Kara Walker, Kenny Scharf, Kehinde Wiley, Gilbert & George, Julian Opie, Marilyn Minters, Tom Sachs and many more, the stockade of high caliber art stretched the imagination. Much like Art Basel in Miami, we struggled to keep up with the long aisles filled with notable galleries such as White Cube, Emmanuel Perrotin, Honor Fraser, and Mizuma that all brought their […]
