Two artists whose work we enjoy immensely, Nicoletta Ceccoli (interviewed) & Eric Fortune (interviewed) opened up their joint show a couple weekends ago at Roq La Rue.Â Ceccoli’s delicate attention to detail in and her clever juxtaposition of humans and nature (above) along with Fortune’s patient brushwork and mastery of textures/motions were on full display.Â If you are lucky enough to be in the Seattle area, definitely take this opportunity to check out not one but two extraordinary artists. “Daughters of Our Nature,” the latest body of work from Eric Fortune opens at Roq La Rue Gallery in Seattle, tomorrow, July 24 from 6-9 PM. Tessar Lo made his solo exhibition debut this past Saturday with â€œFuture Perfectâ€ (previewed) at LeBasse Projects. Lo certainly impressed with this latest series of dream-like paintings which represents his exploration of “independence and hope for my personal history. Tessar Lo will be presenting his first solo exhibition, “Future Perfect”, this Saturday, April 11th from 7-10PM at LeBasse Projects. Expect this new series of paintings to be his largest and most powerful yet. Eric Fortune will be exhibiting with his own solo conjunction with Tessar. Openings: Hi-Fructose Group Show – “Overdose” @ Copro Gallery

“Overdose” (previewed) opened this past Saturday at Copro Gallery in Santa Monica. Upon entering the gallery, you will notice several great pieces from “Overdose” on display in the gallery’s front room. The majority of the exhibition’s body of work is displayed in the gallery’s main room. A table was set up over in the smaller wing of the gallery for the Hi-Fructose Collected Edition 1 book signing. After their highly successful group show last year, Hi-Fructose is back again with another exhibition, this time titled “Overdose,” opening April 4th at Copro Gallery.Â With a increasingly more respected reputation as one of the best publications in the scene, they been able to assemble a pretty amazing lineup.Â Sure to be one of the showstoppers is this huge 50 x 50 inch Chris Berens piece seen above.Â See some other preview pics as well as the full lineup after the jump.

“Movers and Shakers” (previewed) opened on Valentine’s Day in Los Angeles’ Chinatown at POV Evolving Gallery and AM dropped by to check it out.
