A couple weeks ago, the 20th anniversary of cult hit television show Twin Peaks was celebrated with a group exhibition at the Copro Gallery entitled Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me. Last weekend, the outdoor fields and indoor hanger Pima Art and Space Museum in Tucson, Arizona were the venues for the hand-painted vintage planes of The Boneyard Project: Return Trip. While the the DC Super 3 planes painted by How & Nosm, Nunca, and Retna, a C97 cockpit by Saner, a C45 plane by Faile, and a Lockheed VC 140 Jetstar by Andrew Schoultz were already stunning enough as centerpieces of the exhibition, when you include the nose cones, cockpits, and other plane segments painted [...]

With only a couple more weeks to go before the opening for The Boneyard Project: Return Trip, artists are hard at work getting their plane parts painted – especially those who have whole planes to cover (DC Super 3 planes painted by How & Nosm, Nunca, and Retna, a C97 cockpit by Saner, a C45 plane by Faile, and a Lockheed VC 140 Jetstar by Andrew Schoultz). AM recently attended a special signing party for the 3D Art Book (previewed) hosted at the Opera Gallery in New York. Many of the contributors such as Tristan Eaton, Eric White, Haze, Esao Andrews, Tara McPherson, Erik Foss, Andrew Bell, Stephen Bliss, Kevin Bourgeois, Filth, Kenzo Minami, Mint, Serf, Dr. Revolt and Tom Thewes were in attendance, signing and drawing for the droves of fans who came out to support their favorite artists.
