Showing through the rest of the month at Gordon Galleries’ new space (6 Hapelech St), their third space in South Tel Aviv, is a solo exhibition from Faile (featured). Entitled Strong Currents, the new pieces sees the Patricks turn their attention to the hidden agendas and issues that underlay much of our social-political system. Creating through multiple mediums including printmaking, stenciling, and painting (this time with more focus on underpainting) the Brooklyn-based duo successfully introduced a fresh look at their iconic imagery for their first show in Israeli […]

For this holiday season, Faile (featured) has teamed up with Kiehls to release a collection of skin care products to benefit Feeding America. The Patrick’s worked with the American cosmetics brand retailer, gifting their design skills and artwork on a range of products, with each one labeled conveniently as to how many meals you are helping provide to families in need. Take a look here for more info as well as watch the video below as the Brooklyn-based duo talk about the project. Discuss Faile here.
Apartial is an Dublin-based platform with a mission to bring creativity to everyone and encourage people to join the creative community by hosting projects. With this in mind they recently organized The Liberia Project together with a team of local surfers in West Africa. After enduring an 11-year civil war and the recent Ebola crisis, the Liberian people needed a new start, a chance to begin a new chapter. The Apartial team thought of a project with a premise that art could be the catalyst to help […]
With the end of another week of summer (good weather for outdoor mural painting), it’s time for another Streets World Roundup. Leading things off are these two murals seen above from Shok-1 and Marina Zumi for the Lollapalooza Berlin Festival. The public art is part of a program put together by Urban Nation to beautify the area up for the festival goers’ enjoyment as part of their art pavilon DREAMSCAPE. Other recent notable walls come from Bordalo II (Aruba), Sabek (Aruba), Seth Globepainter (China), Atlas (Russia), Aryz […]
Between August 11 – 14, Swizz Beatz has organized an art fair at his birthplace – South Bronx in New York. Presented by The Dean Collection & Bacardi, the No Commission Art Fair is just that – a platform where artists are given free exhibition space to sell their work with no commission charged (a followup to the Art Basel Miami event last year). Participants include: Nina Chanel Abney, Derrick Adams, John Ahearn, Ricardo Cavolo, Luigi Cazzaniga, Sandra Chevrier, Alyssa Dennis, Delphine Diallo, Faile (seen setting […]
During this year’s San Diego Comic-Con, adult animated sitcom South Park hosted a 20th anniversary art show as part of their South Park 20 experience. Curated by Ron English, many of the participants are of course known to readers of AM including Buff Monster, Anthony Ausgang, Sas Christian, RISK, Kenny Scharf, Faile, and more. Take a look at more photos below… Photo credit: Birdman Photos.
Tonight, the South Park 20th Anniversary Show held in conjunction with San Diego Comic-Con unveiled works from artists asked to create works influenced by the animated series. Included here are some of the pieces painted for the exhibition, but the two first ones from Paul Insect (above) and Andrew Schoultz (directly below) were allegedly censored by the South Park Public Relations Team. We find it strange that an irreverent show that is and has embraced controversial topics in the past would decide to block works created in the […]
Although the opening was delayed due to the terrible recent events in Brussels, City Lights at the newly formed Millennium Iconoclast Museum of Art ended up kicking off successfully earlier this month. Featuring the works of Maya Hayuk, Swoon, Momo, and Faile, the exhibition included installations from the American artist to go along with original works on display. Photo credit: la Repubblica.
The newly formed Millennium Iconoclast Museum of Art in Brussels will be opening their doors on March 24th (opening postponed to 13th of April at 11 am due to the terrible recent events in Brussels), with an inaugural show entitled City Lights.
