POW WOW ’14 & 1xRUN Prints & Show

The annual POW! WOW! art retreat in Hawaii starts this weekend and 1xRUN will be on site to work on a special show at Loft in Space / Fresh Cafe set to open on February 14th. They have also partnered with Pangea Seed, a local non profit, to exhibit prints from their archives and their new Sametan figure customized by over 30 artists. In addition, 1xRUN will be releasing a series of prints from participating 2014 POW! Previews: “Risqué {dirty little pictures}” @ Long Beach Museum of Art

On Thursday night, September 19th, the Long Beach Museum of Art will host the opening of a new group exhibition entitled Risqué {dirty little pictures}. Roq La Rue changed it up for this month’s opening. The works on display are from the personal collection of the Baxter family, who are selling some of their collection to move overseas. Roq la Rue recently employed the help of many amazing artists to fill the walls for their Otherworld group show. The title of the show was also the theme, with the artists interpreting “otherworld” however they saw fit.
