Recap: MOMO @ Studiocromie

Following a mural painting trip through Italy (more on this later), MOMO concluded things with a solo exhibition at Studiocromie in Grottaglie. The new body of work on includes paintings on canvas, paper pieces, prints, and ceramics all demonstrating the American artist’s unique use of patterns, shapes, and colors, both seemingly random and purposeful at the same time. The sold out show apparently was on view for two days only but you can see more photos below on what was on display. Discuss MOMO here.

Ukrainian partners in art, AEC and Waone, who form Interesni Kazki (interviewed), recently put on a show entitled Inter Arma Silent Musae (get a closer look at the paintings here) at Studiocromie, the good people behind the Fame Festival. Held in a distinctive space in the small town of Grottaglie, the duo created vibrant and surreal works that mirror the style they are famous for in the streets. Preview: MOMO show in Grottaglie, Italy

Tonight in Grottaglie, Italy, Momo will be putting on a new solo exhibition with the people behind the annual Fame Festival. After tooling around the Cuba & Jamaica, painting in the streets with his geometrically-inclined imagery, he will be returning to Southern Italy with some new pieces inspired by his travels. The festivities start at 7 pm at Bottega Papocchia in the Quartiere Delle Ceramiche. Discuss Momo here.
