Streets: Sea Walls: Murals for Oceans – Mexico Expedition

A couple of weeks ago wrapped up another praiseworthy project on the island of Isla Mujeres, Mexico – Sea Walls: Murals for Oceans – Mexico Expedition. For this event that took place from July 20-28, they invited a group of international artists to help raise awareness for the conservation of the ocean.  Similar to what they did with POW! WOW! Hawaii earlier this year (covered), released a series of limited edition prints along with this event, with 100% of the proceeds going towards funding the programme. Greatly needed protection for the […]

POW! WOW! ’14 / Streets: Andrew Schoultz & Hannah Stouffer

Another collaboration that grabbed our attention during this year’s POW! WOW! Hawaii was a long joint mural from Andrew Schoultz and Hannah Stouffer. The waves and kinetic imagery from Schoultz provided a nice contrast to the softer forest renderings and volcanic eruptions of Stouffer, providing an interesting continous landscape for the people who pass by in the industrial district of Kaka’ako. Take a look at some closer shots as well as in-progress pics below… Photos credit: saL. Discuss POW WOW here. Discuss Andrew Schoultz here.
