From the 15th till 19th of August, gallery Ruttkowski;68 in Cologne will be showing the new works from this year’s MyFinBec project. The annual series organized by the winery Cave Fin Bec in Switzerland commissions artists to create wine labels for their special limited edition organic wine. This year’s lineup included VHILS from Portugal, Herakut from Germany, C215 from France, and Etam Cru from Poland. In every instance, eight different labels were painted on stacks of 84 crates each. Previews: Herakut – “Don’t Look At Me” @ Shooting Gallery

On Saturday night, November 9th, artistic duo Herakut will be opening a new show at the Shooting Gallery in San Francisco entitled Don’t Look At Me. The collaborative acrylic and spray paint works on canvas from Hera (interviewed) and Akut often exude a raw and emotionally charged feel to them and mirror the German artists’ creative output on the streets. Openings: Herakut – “Too High To Heal” @ Metro Gallery

Earlier this month, we shared some photos with you of the latest installation of The Giant Storybook Project from Herakut on the streets of Melbourne. The German duo were also in town for their latest solo show at the Metro Gallery entitled Too High To Heal featuring their signature mix of abstract and photorealistic painting. Basel Week Miami ’12 / Streets: Herakut

AM will be checking out the PULSE art fair later today (one of the many satellite events during Basel Week Miami). Those planning to attend at some point this week will also see this huge Herakut mural soaring above the horizon across from the entrance of the fair. Acting on their long-time desires to create a children’s book, Jasmin (interviewed) and Falk have taken to the streets around the world to paint the “pages” of their story.
