Hot Tea x Bon Iver @ Sydney Opera House

Last week, American indie folk band Bon Ivor performed at the Sydney Opera House under a large suspended installation by Hot Tea. The Minneapolis-based artist, known for his yarn-based work, created a stunning hanging installation that changed colors and imagery when viewed in conjunction with projection, a collaborative project entitled Circle. Streets: Hot Tea (Los Angeles)

A couple nights ago, under the cover of darkness, Hot Tea and a few friends placed one of his signature installations over the pedestrian bridge that spans the PCH close to Santa Monica Blvd. and Broadway. The culmination of their hard work can be seen in the photos below, a gradient of color featuring 1,180 strands of yarn in 14 different colors that the Minneapolis-based artist dubbed Migration.
