After a first look at the latest Igloo Hong funded project from David Choe (featured) in Morocco, we now have some more photos to share with you from the the trip. Granted creative freedom, El Mac, Andrew Hem, Mars-1, Aaron Horkey, and DVS-1 all did their best work getting up on whatever walls they could find, whether it be solo or with a collaborative effort. Last month, David Choe (featured) led a group of artists into the wilds of Morocco on another Igloo Hong funded project (also see Cambodia). Included on the trip to Marrakech were repeat attendees El Mac & Andrew Hem along with newcomers Mars-1, Aaron Horkey, and DVS-1. After an enlightening trip to Cambodia for the first David Choe (featured) funded Igloo Hong Project with Aryz, Esao Andrews, James Jean, and El Mac, it sounds the he’s looking for more artists for the next trip. After a closer look at a mural El Mac recently painted in Phnom Penh, here are now some photos and video of the Igloo Hong Project where other artists including Aryz, Esao Andrews, James Jean joined David Choe as they spread their artistic talents in Cambodia. Those who have been following David Choe’s Instagram no doubt already know about his Igloo Hong Project where artists Aryz, Esao Andrews, James Jean, and El Mac along with Choe spent some time in Cambodia creating public art. The piece seen here entitled Thread of Life was painted by Mac in Phnom Penh of a local Khmer artisan named Moeun Thary, who hand-embroiders traditional Khmer ceremonial garments.
