Releases: James Jean “Tango” Giclee

James Jean (who recently had a show at 3.1 Phillip Lim) and SURU has just released a new limited edition giclee of his painting, Tango.  The 28″x44″ giclee, reproduced with archival pigment ink on Hahnemühle Fine Art Paper, is in an edition of 50, signed, numbered, and custom embossed.  It can be yours for $500.  The original 2009 oil painting from which this giclee was created was originally exhibited at the Japanese American National Museum in Los Angeles. Openings: James Jean – The “Birds and Boys” Series @ 3.1 Phillip Lim – Fashion’s Night Out

High fashion and fine art was exhibited in a seamless mix as James Jean unveiled his Birds and Boys series at 3.1 Phillip Lim during Fashion’s Night Out in West Hollywood. Jean’s fantastically cool portraits of the famous and the beautiful of Los Angeles were hung throughout the store, occupying the same racks as Lim’s elegantly designed threads. It’s called Fashion’s Night Out, but for 3.1 Phillip Lim in West Hollywood on Sept. 10, there will be more than just beautiful designer clothes and accessories. Rome’s Dorothy Circus Gallery and New York’s Jonathan Levine Gallery have joined forces to bring together some of the biggest names in the new contemporary scene for a museum exhibition in Italy entitled “Pop Surrealism”.
