Jeff Soto (interviewed) has just teamed up with 1xRUN for a print release entitled Owl Of Infinite Knowledge. This newest offering from the Riverside-based artist featuring the nocturnal bird of prey is part of the Murals In The Market Featured Artist Print Series, corresponding with the Murals In the Market festival opening later this week. Upcoming: “The Collection” @ Gregorio Escalante Gallery

Have you ever wondered what the collection from the co-founder of Juxtapoz would look like? You have an opportunity to find out tonight when the Gregorio Escalante Gallery opens their first show in Los Angeles’ Chinatown. Curated by C. R. Stecyk, III, the exhibition puts a selection of work on display from Escalante’s private collection including pieces from Robert Williams, Ed Ruscha, John Baldessari, Chris Burden, Shepard Fairey, Jeff Soto (seen above) and more. Over the weekend, fans of Jeff Soto (interviewed) enjoyed his first showing in Los Angeles in almost a decade. Entitled Nightgardens, the exhibition of KP Projects / MKG featured a series of new acrylic on panel and watercolor paintings incorporating some of the Riverside-based artist’s familiar characters in the midst of some adventure as well as some more abstract still-life like compositions. While prepping for his solo (more on this later) opening at KP Projects / MKG later this month, Jeff Soto (interviewed) recently found time to paint a mural just down the street from the Los Angeles showspace. Featuring one of his signature owls, the piece located on La Brea and West 1st Street will greet attendees when the show opens on June 26th. Streets: Jeff Soto x Maxx242 (Riverside) – Part II

After stopping by to check in on the progress of the joint mural between Jeff Soto (interviewed) and Maxx242 in Riverside, we dropped by a couple days ago to see the finished two-wall piece.
