Following up on The New Vanguard show back in 2016 (covered), the Lancaster Museum of Art and History (MOAH), again in collaboration with Los Angeles’ Thinkspace Gallery, will be opening the second iteration of the group exhibition on October 20th. Presented conjointly with this year’s POW!WOW! Antelope Valley, the event once again includes a diverse range of artists. Another show to check out at the Moniker International Art Fair in London is a solo from Kaili Smith at the Thinkspace Gallery booth. The new series of “Le Petit Prince” paintings from the Netherlands-born and Australia-raised artist deal with the issues of youth criminality through the lens of his experience hearing the famous childrens’ story from his French mother as a child. With this year’s POW! WOW! Hawaii fast approaching, it’s time to preview the annual associated Exploring The New Contemporary Movement group exhibition (see 2017 & 2016 & 2015 & 2014) curated by Thinkspace. The fifth iteration of the group exhibition will open on February 11th and will once again be held at the Honolulu Museum of Art School, featuring a larger 24″ x 24″ format.
