KAWS Releasing Remaining Stock Of “BFF” Plush (Black Version)

For those who missed the original blue colorway of KAWS’ BFF plush (covered) in Thailand, there was another chance with the recent slate of black versions that were released in conjunction with his exhibition in Texas (covered). For those that missed the unveiling of KAWS’ new virtual reality experience created with the help Visionaire, Artnet has nice recap of the event here. Visitors at the New York Public Library were taken on a studio visit with the Brooklyn-based artist, which quickly turns into a kaleidoscope of colors, misbehaving characters, and surreal imagery when he leaves the room. Upcoming: KAWS (VR Experience) @ New York Public Library

Tomorrow, January 29th (1-4pm), at the New York Public Library, Visionaire will unveiling its latest virtual reality experience featuring the work of KAWS. Basel Week Miami ’16 / Releases: KAWS – “PIRANHAS WHEN YOU’RE SLEEPING” Print @ Pace Prints

Those who walked by the Pace Prints booth at Art Basel Miami Beach (covered) may have been surprised to see a new print available from KAWS. Entitled PIRANHAS WHEN YOU’RE SLEEPING, the image is taken from a piece the Brooklyn-based artist painted for a show back in 2014 in the Caribbean (covered). KAWS x Nike: New York Made // Stanton Street Courts

Nike recently unveiled their collaboration with KAWS that kicks off their New York Made campaign. The Brooklyn-based artist designed the graphics for the playing surface for Stanton Street Courts (In Sara D. Roosevelt Park in Manhattan’s Lower East Side), two side by side full basketball courts.
