POW WOW ’13: Kickstarter Project

Kickstarter: Tim Biskup – Big Butter Double Vinyl LP

Some of you may not know (including us), but painter Tim Biskup (featured) is part of a band Big Butter that he formed with his brother Mike Biskup back in the 80s. One of their favorite and most obscure recordings, BRAINSLED, was released as a cassette in 1989, but was never released on vinyl. Kickstarter: Stephen Glassman – “Urban Air” Billboards

Artist Stephen Glassman, whose work features the utilizing of bamboo, has a plan to transform the urban landscape of Los Angeles. The project is entitled Urban Air, and its goal is to transform existing billboards to living, suspended bamboo gardens as an artwork, symbol, and instrument for a green future.
