It seems that POW! WOW! Hawaii gets more ambitious each year with the plethora of quality local and international artists participating growing as a result. POW! WOW! ’15 / Openings: Thinkspace – “Exploring The New Contemporary Movement” @ Honolulu Museum Of Art School

Last night, POW! WOW! Hawaii kicked things off with a group show curated by Thinkspace at the Honolulu Museum Of Art School (111 Victoria Street). Entitled Exploring The New Contemporary Movement, the exhibition featured an impressive and diverse roster or artists, each contributing a 12 x 12″ piece. Amsterdam’s secretive street & urban art gallery, The Garage, is celebrating the end of the year with a group show featuring works by their represented artists and friends. Preview: “My Turn” @ Carmichael Gallery

This Saturday night (March 17) in Culver City, the Carmichael Gallery will be hosting a group exhibition entitled My Turn. The show is the first curatorial project from Los Angeles-based artist Bumblebee and features some of the young up-and-coming talent in the street and urban art movement including Hyuro, Interesni Kazki, Jaz, Klone, LinelineDot, Moneyless, Penny, Stinkfish, and Zeus.
