Openings: KMNDZ & Ekundayo @ Thinkspace

Judging from the crowd that showed up for the opening, KMNDZ & Ekundayo careers are going in an opposite direction when compared to the stock market right now.Â Luckily we got there early and took some quick pics before it got too packed.Â The two artists spent several days completely transforming Thinkspace and their hard work definitely paid off. Entering the gallery was like entering into their own little post-nuclear apocalyptic world. More pics after the jump.

KMNDZ (above) & Ekundayo’s (below) two-man show is set to open this Friday, October 10th at Thinkspace in the Silverlake district. Arrested Motion was invited to take a look at the installation process last night, as well as take some photos to share with our readers. Those attending this show will be very impressed by the setup, as the two artists have completely transformed the space into the “Red Forest” (title of the show), the most radioactive place on earth. Johnny Rodriguez or “KMNDZ” to most of his fans will be opening his two person show with Ekundayo at Thinkspace on October 10th. Their interesting choice of a show name “Red Forest” (in his words) deals with what the Nuclear reactor explosion did to the people of the Soviet Union as well as the dabbling of the negative in all its forms and what it is doing to our hearts here in Los Angeles.
