AM recently attended a group exhibition (previewed) held by Vandalog and M.A.N.Y. in New York. The show Up Close & Personal was unique in the sense that it was not held outdoors or in a gallery, but in an actual apartment on the Upper West Side. Video: Conor Harrington – ‘Crossing Lines’

It’s always a pleasure to see some of Conor Harrington’s (interviewed) outdoor work, and this beautifully produced short film that he recently put together was a real treat to watch. Crossing Lines documents his trip to Palestine and Israel last June, where he collaborated with Know Hope on a series of murals, as well as completed some solo efforts. Check it out. Hot on the heels of the recent opening of her Fata Morgana solo show at Galerie L.J. in Paris, Swoon (interviewed) made a trip to London last week. A couple weeks ago, the show we told you about, “There is Nothing Dear (There Is Too Much Dear)”, opened up in Toronto at the Show & Tell Gallery. The exhibition featured some beautiful works from Know Hope (some of his most complex ever we feel), as well as installations throughout the showspace. Israel’s Know Hope will be opening his show tonight in Toronto at the Show & Tell Gallery. The prolific street artist has creatively fashioned together some found objects and painted them with his signature imagery for this new body of work entitled “There is Nothing Dear (There Is Too Much Dear)” (teased). Also included will be works on paper featuring his long-armed characters and some words of wisdom. More after the jump…

Know Hope (interviewed), whose upcoming show in Toronto we just told you about yesterday, recently found some time again this year for the annual BLK River Festival (you may remember our coverage from last year). This beautiful mural featuring much of the Tel Aviv street artist’s signature imagery is entitled “For the Homeless Heart and Anxious Fingers” and is positioned directly opposite of a former Jewish ghetto in the second district of Vienna.
