Torneros explains, “I wanted my artwork to portray the energy he […]

Openings: Kris Kuksi – “Revival” @ Joshua Liner Gallery

The Joshua Liner Gallery in New York recently opened a solo exhibition from Kris Kuksi entitled Revival. The intricate and complex sculptural works from the Kansas-based artist plays a perfect contrast to the deceptively simple works from Riusuke Fukahori, who is concurrently showing in the same gallery. Kuksi’s mixed media assemblages explore the dark sides of the human psyche with ornate representations created from model kits and other materials that he has re-appropriated. His works need to be seen in person to be fully appreciated, but for those unable […]

Openings: Kris Kuksi for “Go West” @ Mark Moore Gallery

Just this past Saturday night, the Mark Moore Gallery in Los Angeles hosted Go West, a joint show between Kris Kuksi and David Ellis curated by Joshua Liner that is a followup to the Go East exhibition that was hosted at their New York last May where the two galleries roles were flip-flopped. For his part, Kuksi brought along several of the large mixed media assemblages that he is famous for.
