Karma’s Hamptons location in Amagansett, NY, currently has an exhibition by artists and friends Leo Fitzpatrick and Nate Lowman. The show, entitled Art Relax, features a wide range of collaborative mixed-medium works—mostly collage on paper, but also painting, sculpture and installation. Together, Fitzpatrick and Lowman transformed the inside of the quaint beach cottage into a dizzying and playful environment reminiscent of a humorous Tumblr site brought to life. Art Relax closes July 1.

For the uninitiated, it’s a site that’s dedicated to selling exclusive editioned artwork by some of notable names in contemporary art, but their goal is to do that without breaking your bank. “Shred,” an exhibition curated by New York downtown art critic and Paper magazine editor Carlo McCormick, opened last Thursday night at Chelsea’s Perry Rubenstein Gallery. As the name implies, the show features collage-based art from a diverse group of artists, including Dash Snow, Elbow-Toe (interviewed), FAILE (featured), Shepard Fairey (featured), Mark Flood, Erik Foss, Swoon (interviewed) and Judith Supine. Perry Rubenstein Gallery, known to most readers as the gallery that represents Faile (featured), opens an exhibition curated by Carlo McCormick next month, titled “SHRED”.
