Showing: André @ Museum of Design and Fashion (Lisbon)

Paris-based street artist André Saraiva opened a showing at the Museum of Design and Fashion (MUDE) in Lisbon last month. Featuring one of the most recognizable characters in the street art world, an exuberant stick-figure alter ego, Mr. A, as well as many other aspects of his career spanning graffiti, painting, street art, installation, sculpture and film, the exhibition is a retrospective (open through Sept. 28) that brings the artist of Portuguese origin back to his roots.Take a look at the diverse collection of works below… Photo credit: Stick2Target.

Earlier this month, the Electricity Museum / EDP Foundation in Lisbon hosted the opening of Vhils’ (filmed) expansive museum show, his largest to date. As a part of preparation for his upcoming museum show in Lisbon (covered), Alexandre Farto aka Vhils recently finished another signature piece on the outskirts of Lisbon. The Lisnave area was once a huge shipyard, building and fixing large boats from around the world, but has now been abandoned for the last 15 to 20 years. Streets: Vhils x Pixel Pancho (Lisbon)

With some recent articles, we have introduced to you several public murals arranged by the Underdogs platform in Lisbon as well as some gallery shows. We now have another street piece to share with you in the same vein – a collaboration between Vhils and Pixel Pancho. The joint wall saw the locally-based Vhils mix his chiseled technique with the Italian Pixel Pancho’s robotic imagery leading an interesting interaction of disparate styles.
