Openings: Draw @ Shooting Gallery SF

The mother of all drawing shows opened last weekend at the Shooting Gallery in San Francisco.  Featuring drawings from over 400 artists, the DRAW show is definitely one of the largest of its kind featuring artists we are all familiar with.  The exhibition started in 2006 at Fuse Gallery in NY, then to SXSW in 2007, and last year it was held at StolenSpace in London.  Make sure you stop by for a look if you are in the bay area but if you aren’t, […]

Openings: Brandi Milne – “Run Rabbit, Run” @ Thinkspace Gallery

Brandi Milne’s “Run Rabbit, Run” (previewed) opened this past Friday, April 10th at Thinkspace Gallery. There was a very unique, fun-filled vibe to this show. Those who attended the exhibition opening were treated to a wonderful new series of work and the chance to participate in Brandi’s “Easter Egg Hunt”. Throughout most of the night, plastic easter egg hunt eggs were placed in random places inside and outside of Thinkspace gallery. More photos after the jump…

Sylvia Ji (interviewed) presented her latest exhibition, “Haute Epoch”, at Corey Helford Gallery, last Saturday, April 11th. Preview: Jeremiah Ketner & Julie West – “Flower Parade” @ Rotofugi

Two talented artists, Jeremiah Ketner and Julie West are opening their dual show “Flower Parade” this Friday, April 10th at Rotofugi in Chicago. Ketner and West make a perfect pairing as both their works have a magical fairytale-like feeling to them. Ketner returns with his signature creatures as well as his wonderful colors, drawing viewers into his dream-like world, while West’s feminine characters project a sense of innocence as they interact with a case of different critters.
