Just in time as a stocking stuffer, Mark Ryden (interviewed) will be releasing a new print on December 6th (9 AM PST) through Porterhouse Fine Art Editions. Created in a run of 999, the limited edition die cut and embossed miniature is a replica of the renowned artist’s Santa Worm painting. San Francisco-based Joe Roberts recently announced a release of his second monograph-style book, We Ate The Acid (61)A3HT3TA3). Releases: Josh Keyes – “Landfall” Print

Josh Keyes (interviewed) recently released a new print through Thinkspace entitled Landfall based a painting from his show at the gallery (covered). Featuring an image of a bull running from the ocean with a burning ship in the distance, the piece is typical of the Portland-based artist’s penchant for juxtaposing the natural world against the folly of man. Showing: “Mickey: The True Original” Exhibition (New York)

As we mentioned a couple days ago, the Mickey: The True Original Exhibition has opened in New York, celebrating the 90th birthday of one of the most iconic cartoon characters in history. The show is filled with photo-ops, including an amazing piece (seen above) from Daniel Arsham inspired by Thru the Mirror, a Mickey Mouse cartoon short film from 1936 and a Mickey Mouse-themed Cosmic Cavern from Kenny Scharf. Tomorrow (November 10) between 11am-1pm, James Jean (interviewed) will be signing and releasing the Mickey & Minnie Mouse limited edition sculpture set at BAIT Los Angeles to celebrate the 90th birthday of the two Disney cartoons.
