After a more exploratory body of work in 2011 (covered) where he worked with his take on contemporary art, it looks like Luke Chueh (featured) will return to Corey Helford with a collection of paintings closer to to his signature oeuvre. This Saturday, February 2nd, Giant Robot 2 will be celebrating Chinese New Year early with their Year of the Snake group show. Featuring the work of Rob Sato, Aaron Woes, Jeremiah Ketner, Stella Hultberg, Luke Chueh, Deth P. After executing the first phase of his revenge against Japanese bootleggers by taking those images, painting, and selling then for his show in Chicago (covered), Luke Chueh (interviewed) has traveled to Tokyo where he will have a chance to see these illegal productions in person. Last month in Chicago, the Rotofugi art toy boutique and gallery hosted all new works from Luke Chueh (interviewed) which was collectively entitled I Am Your Plaything. This Friday night, art toy boutique and gallery Rotofugi will be hosting the unveiling of new works from Luke Chueh (interviewed) in a show entitled I Am Your Plaything. Last Thursday, Luke Chueh’s signing and sketch tour celebrating the release of his book – Bearing the Unbearable continued with a rare appearance in the Bay Area at Spoke Art (previewed).
