On Saturday night (April 21st) in Rome, Marion Peck will be unveiling her newest body of work entitled StraVolti at Dorothy Circus. Influenced by Picasso and Cubism, the Pacific Northwest-based artist has created a new series of surreal portraits that redefines the definition of beauty. Currently in the gallery’s London location, Peck also has a show on view featuring some of her older works and drawings. Coming up at the end of next month (April 21st), Dorothy Circus in Rome will be opening a new solo from Marion Peck entitled StraVolti. Returning to show in the capital city for the first time in more than a decade, the American artist has prepared 11 oil paintings on canvas that mix her surreal imagery with inspiration from European art and cultural tradition. From March 24-27, shortly after closing their cake-themed installation and special programing (covered), Think Tank Gallery in Los Angeles will be hosting the sequel group exhibition to 2014’s Cat Art Show. On Saturday night, attendees of this year’s Baby Tattooville at Riverside’s Mission Inn witnessed something that they will not soon forget for a very long time. Every year at Baby Tattooville, one of the most intriguing and fun events is the continuously ongoing “Art Jam.” For 2015, participating artists Anthony Ausgang, Sas Christian, Olivia De Berardinis, Ron English, Camille Rose Garcia, Bosko Hrnjak, Marion Peck, KRK Ryden, Mark Ryden, and Isabel Samaras decided to go with a black, white, and gray palette to create a surreal collaborative masterpiece. Always one of the things attendees look forward to, Baby Tattooville’s Secret Store opened last night at 9pm sharp. Tonight at the Riverside Art Museum, Fade To Black opened its door to the public after a private dinner reception on the roof of the museum.
