Openings: Mia Araujo – “Into The Woods” @ Corey Helford

Earlier this month, the Corey Helford Gallery opened their doors to new works from Mia Araujo (interviewed). Into The Woods featured medium to large paintings from the painter showing off her gift for composition and imaginative narratives. On Saturday night (May 12th), the Corey Helford Gallery in Culver City will be welcome Mia Araujo (interviewed) and her paintings into their showspace for her first solo show. Teaser: Mia Araujo – “Into The Woods” @ Corey Helford

In her first major showing since a two-person exhibition at Roq La Rue at the end of 2011, Mia Araujo (interviewed) will be presenting a new body of work at Corey Helford in Los Angeles with the opening scheduled for May 12th. Into The Woods will be her first solo and feature the surreal paintings steeped in myth and mystery and executed in lush detail that her fans have come to expect. Discuss this show here. Releases: Mia Araujo – “Sleeping Sickness” Print

Tomorrow afternoon, December 15th, at 1pm (Pacific Time), Mia Araujo (interviewed) will be releasing her Sleeping Sickness print in two editions, both signed and numbered. The more limited version will be larger at 16″ x 24″, priced at $150, and in a run of 25.  The smaller one (8″ x 12″) will be limited to 75 and cost $65.
