Openings: “Atrophic Existence” @ Show & Tell

A couple Saturdays ago, Show & Tell Gallery played host to a cohesive group show from Kevin Cyr (interviewed), Mike Shankman, Jeff Gillette, Joshua Barndt, and Alex Lukas entitled Atrophic Existence. Along with some pretty nice pieces from a group of painters whose work focuses on urban decay and disintegration, Gillette also brought some beautiful sculptural renderings of his shantytown structures and you could not miss the massive central installation from Barndt entitled The World is a Mountain and Everything Gets Buried. Preview: Atrophic Existence @ Show & Tell Gallery

Show & Tell Gallery looks set to round off a fine year with a fine group showing, Atrophic Existence, opening on December 11th. Kevin Cyr (interviewed), Mike Shankman, Jeff Gillette, and Alex Lukas all will be exhibiting new paintings with the shared theme of decay and disintegration of the urban landscape.
