Galleria Patricia Armocida in Milan recently opened A Position On a Map, a new solo show by Jim Houser (previewed). This is American artist’s second solo show with the gallery, and after three and half years, he is back with 20 new works that he shared with local art lovers. Philadelphia-based artist Jim Houser is set to open his second solo show with Galleria Patricia Armocida in Milan, presenting a collection of his signature visual poetry works. El Mac x Prada – “In the Heart of the Multitude” Project

Last month during Milan Fashion Week, American artist El Mac was asked by Prada to participate in the In the Heart of the Multitude project. Guided by themes of beauty, femininity, and power, the LA-based street muralist created three murals that were used as the backdrop for the Spring/Summer ’14 Prada Women’s fashion show (see video below). Collectively, he entitled them Sueños y Polvo de Estrellas (Dreams and Stardust) and shared that they were inspired by the work of Alphonse Mucha. Discuss El Mac here.

Korean artist Yu Jinyoung (interviewed) recently opened her first solo show in Italy at Galleria Patricia Armocida in Milan. The corner of Via Lambro and Via Melzo in Milan was packed with urban art lovers and skateboarders that wanted to meet and greet legendary Ed Templeton on the night of 19th of September. Prior to his Hampton’s SEAFOAM exhibtiion with Eric Firestone Gallery, Brooklyn-based artist Bäst visited Milan for a little bit of work with fashion heavyweight and icon Marc Jacobs. A long-time collaborator with the NYC fashion maven, Bäst trekked Italy to spread his own version of American street art across arguable one of the most notable fashion-forward cities in the world. Earlier today in Italy, illustrator, artist, and designer, Parra opened his solo show Il Senso di Colpa (The Guilt) at Galleria Patricia Armocida. In accordance with the title of his show, the artist focused this body of work on the feeling of guilt and similar emotions that are often limiting and troubling for many of us.
