Previews: “The Moleskine Project VII” @ Spoke Art (NYC)

On August 4th, Spoke Art’s location in NYC will be hosting The Moleskine Project VII, the seventh iteration of the group show curated by artist Rodrigo Luff and gallery owner Ken Harman. The concept behind the show once again is to create a piece of art on the pages of the ubiquitous moleskin notebook used by many artists for sketches, to record ideas, and for studies. Releases: Rod Luff – “Afterglow” Print

The People’s Print Shop recently released a new limited edition from Rod Luff entitled Afterglow. Available in a signed and numbered run of 30, the image from the Sydney-based artist is taken from his piece from the recent Moleskin V group show which he co-curated. Australian-based artist Rod Luff’s exhibition, The Moleskin Project (previewed) opened last Thursday, which also signified the first show put on at Spoke Art in San Francisco. As the title of the exhibition suggests, the show is comprised of framed and unframed pages taken from Rod’s moleskin that contained an array of oil paintings, studies, thoughts and sketches that he produced in his spare time over the course of a year.
